Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Lumora Prep (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Lumora Prep ("we," "us," "our") operates an online exam-preparation platform.

2. Eligibility and Minors

The Service is intended for students preparing for standardized exams, many of whom are under 18. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, or that you otherwise have their permission to use the Service.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Lumora Prep offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features and pricing are described on our Pricing page.
  • Payments are processed by Creem, our payment processor, acting as merchant of record. By purchasing, you also agree to Creem's applicable terms.
  • Weekly and monthly plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal.
  • 3-month and yearly plans are one-time payments with no auto-renewal: access lasts 90 or 365 days from purchase and then ends unless you buy again.
  • You can cancel a weekly or monthly subscription at any time through Plan & billing in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

  • Standard refunds: if you're not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 3 days of purchase.
  • Exception near your test date: if your purchase was made within 7 days of your stated test date, automatic refunds are not available; your request will be reviewed manually and we'll respond promptly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account with others or allow unauthorized access
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription tier restrictions or access controls
  • Copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell our question bank, video content, or other materials
  • Use automated tools to access the Service in a way that could disrupt it for others
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Our Content and Your Content

Our content: questions, explanations, video lessons, and other materials on Lumora Prep are owned by us or licensed to us, and are provided for your personal, non-commercial study use only.

Your content: you retain ownership of content you submit (such as lesson comments and example sentences). By posting, you grant us a license to display and use that content within the Service. You're responsible for what you post, and we may remove content that violates these Terms.

Third-party content: the Service references or links to third-party resources (such as College Board's official Question Bank and Bluebook app). We do not own, control, or guarantee the accuracy of third-party content, and your use of it is subject to that third party's own terms.

8. AI Features

Lumora Prep includes an AI-powered tutor ("Lumi") and AI-assisted question generation. While we take steps to verify accuracy, AI-generated explanations and content may occasionally contain errors. Lumi is a study aid, not a substitute for a teacher's or tutor's judgment, and you should use your own judgment when relying on its explanations.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee any specific score outcome, and past student results shown on our site do not guarantee similar results for you. We work to keep the Service available and accurate but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumora Prep is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Lumora Prep's jurisdiction of operation. This section will be finalized once a legal entity is formally registered.
